Norfolk Receives A Proposal For A 46-Cabin Holiday Park

The Norfolk countryside in the United Kingdom could soon have a new 46-cabin holiday park if the borough council grants permission.

The proposed holiday park will be located on Barwick Road, south of Stanhoe and a short drive away from Fakenham. It will introduce a new road network created in the area, which is currently laid to grass, according to a report.

The 46 cabins in the park will surround a newly-created pond, accommodating the site’s drainage needs, while an existing pond on the north side of the land would stay in place.

Frog’s Hall, an existing home, would stand as the park’s manager’s house and a shop for customers instead of the general public.

The holiday units, which are proposed to be log cabins, would have a mixture of two and three bedrooms.

“The scale of the site is relatively small when viewed in the context of the surrounding area and nearby settlements. It would therefore not dominate the locality,” said the applicant’s agent in a report.

The plans can be viewed and commented on by searching for planning reference 22/01134/OM at www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/comment_on_a_planning_application.
