Landal Expands Belgium Glamping Portfolio With New Accommodations and Resort Amenities

Landal is expanding its presence in Belgium with additional glamping accommodations and new resort facilities as the company responds to continued demand for nature-based travel and outdoor hospitality experiences. The expansion comes as travelers increasingly seek destinations with milder summer temperatures, with Belgium typically experiencing average summer temperatures between 64°F and 73°F (18°C to 23°C).

The company is growing its glamping portfolio at two properties in the Belgian Ardennes: Landal Namur Nature and Landal Resort Val de Bois Durbuy. The developments form part of Landal’s broader strategy following the merger of Roompot and Landal GreenParks, which created a unified brand operating more than 200 holiday locations across eight European countries.

Landal Resort Val de Bois Durbuy, which opened in 2026, represents the company’s newest premium glamping destination in the Ardennes, according to a news release. The resort features safari tents, lodges, and tiny houses, with selected accommodations equipped with private hot tubs, barrel saunas, and outdoor kitchens overlooking woodland and a fishing lake.

In addition to accommodations, the property includes family-oriented amenities such as a restaurant, a Kids’ Club, and a Nature Experience Area. Visitors also have access to outdoor recreation opportunities in the surrounding Ardennes region, including hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and other adventure activities.

Landal Namur Nature, which opened in late 2025, has also expanded its accommodation inventory during 2026. The resort recently added 70 glamping accommodations that are available for bookings for the summer 2026 season. The expansion also includes new guest amenities such as an Adventure Forest, mini-golf, a pump track, and an observation tower.

The company said additional facilities are planned for the property, including a swimming pool, wellness amenities, a restaurant, and an indoor play area. Once completed, those additions are intended to support year-round operations by broadening the range of activities available across different seasons.

The investments reflect a continuing trend within the European outdoor hospitality market, where operators are expanding premium accommodation options while complementing them with recreational amenities that encourage longer stays and increase guest spending on-site.

Combining traditional lodging with glamping accommodations also enables operators to serve multiple traveler segments without significantly changing the overall character of a destination.

For campground, glamping, caravan park, and RV resort operators, Landal’s latest developments illustrate how phased expansion can be used to respond to market demand.

Rather than relying solely on additional accommodations, the projects pair new inventory with experience-driven infrastructure, including activity zones, wellness facilities, and family attractions. This approach can help diversify revenue streams, improve occupancy outside peak travel periods, and strengthen a property’s appeal as a year-round destination.

Landal currently offers more than 22,500 accommodations across Europe and welcomes approximately six million guests annually. Its portfolio includes a range of lodging types, including beach houses, villas, glamping accommodations, lodges, and chalets.

The company also states that its parks are Green Key certified as part of its sustainability initiatives, supporting its ongoing international growth strategy.
