The British Columbia Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) is set to bring together a diverse group of industry stakeholders in a gathering aimed at encouraging participants to rethink and reimagine their approaches to running their businesses.
The eagerly anticipated Lodging and Camping Ideas Forum is scheduled for November 6-8, 2023, in the scenic locale of Parksville at The Beach Club Resort.
This event will mark the first physical congregation of the association since October 2019, presenting a unique opportunity for business owners and operators to reconnect, learn, and share insights in a post-pandemic world.
Encapsulating the ethos of collaboration, this year’s forum centers around the theme “Working Together for Our Success”. The event is set to orchestrate an expansive education program, serving as a catalyst for attendees to reimagine their conventional approaches and explore innovative strategies to bolster their businesses in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Forum attendees will have the privilege of embarking on three onsite tours at the local facilities: Coombs Country Campground, Pathfinder Camp Resorts – Parksville, and Surfside RV Resort.
Through these immersive excursions, owners will provide fellow members with a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their operations, fostering a valuable exchange of experiences and ideas that will empower private campground owners to revamp their establishments in alignment with industry best practices.
As we inch towards summer, the BCLCA board has announced a recess in meetings unless an emergency dictates.
They have also extended their warm wishes for a safe and bustling summer season for all members.
The upcoming Ideas Forum is not just a convergence of ideas, but also a testament to the power of community learning.
Courtesy of its generous sponsors and suppliers, the forum provides a learning platform for BCLCA members and guests. This presents a golden opportunity to engage with a broad network of industry players, from sponsors and suppliers to fellow members and the volunteer board of directors.
Attendees will be treated to an array of compelling speakers, all seasoned professionals equipped with insights and experience to illuminate a broad spectrum of topics that impact the day-to-day operations of businesses in the industry.
Registrations for the event will open in August and a detailed agenda and comprehensive speaker line-up will be released in July.
The BCLCA Ideas Forum is set to be a milestone event for private campground owners and operators in Canada, offering an avenue to elevate their businesses while contributing to the vitality of the wider camping industry.
