Sairme Glampings, a hotel and cottage complex in Georgia’s Sairme resort, is preparing for the autumn-winter season after two years of operation, with plans to strengthen its cold-season offering and potentially expand its accommodation capacity.
The privately funded project combines hotel-style accommodations and glamping cottages with amenities designed to support both overnight stays and on-site leisure. Founder Vili Tutashvili said the concept was developed to connect the resort’s natural and historical setting with modern accommodation options.
The property currently offers hotel-style rooms for two guests, rooms equipped with jacuzzis, and glamping cottages that can accommodate up to four guests. The cottages include hot tubs and outdoor furniture, while shared facilities include a fireplace bar-restaurant, a BBQ area, and entertainment spaces.
According to Business Media, accommodations featuring larger terraces and outdoor hot tubs have generated the highest demand. The preference indicates that outdoor amenities remain an important consideration for guests even as operators prepare for colder weather, particularly in a destination where the seasonal environment is part of the overall visitor experience.
Tutashvili said the summer season was relatively busy, especially on weekends, although visitor numbers were somewhat lower than the previous year. He attributed the change to broader trends affecting tourism. Sairme Glampings serves both domestic and international visitors, giving the business exposure to different customer segments as it moves into the lower-temperature months.
For the upcoming autumn-winter season, the business expects demand to remain positive and is planning further development of its cold-season product. Maintaining operations through changing weather conditions will require continued attention to infrastructure, guest services, and staffing.
Tutashvili identified finding qualified employees and maintaining high service standards as two of the business’s main challenges. He also pointed to the ongoing management of technical infrastructure as an important operational requirement.
For glamping and outdoor hospitality operators, the experience at Sairme Glampings highlights several considerations associated with extending operations beyond the traditional summer season.
Features such as hot tubs, fireplaces, enclosed accommodations, and food and beverage facilities can provide additional reasons for guests to visit during colder periods, while reliable infrastructure and staffing become particularly important as operating conditions change.
The company is also considering gradual expansion. Potential future developments include increasing accommodation capacity, introducing additional services, and constructing an outdoor swimming pool. The plans would allow the business to build on its existing accommodation mix while adding amenities that could broaden its appeal across different seasons.
With two years of operating experience now behind it, Sairme Glampings is using the upcoming autumn-winter period to further develop its seasonal offering while assessing opportunities for longer-term growth.
