RoverPass Launches CampAI With AI Chatbot and Operator Assist Tools

RoverPass introduced CampAI, a suite of artificial intelligence tools integrated into its campground reservation and management software, with an AI Chatbot now available and AI Assist open to customers through an early-access program.

The platform brings together AI applications designed to handle camper inquiries and help campground owners manage reservations, payments and occupancy data.

RoverPass plans to introduce additional tools for revenue management, bookkeeping, marketing and guest communications as they become available.

The AI Chatbot operates on campground websites and answers guest questions around the clock using information owners have provided about their properties. Questions the chatbot cannot answer are flagged for operators, allowing them to identify gaps in available property information.

AI Assist provides campground owners with a conversational way to retrieve information about reservations, payments and occupancy. The tool presents supporting data alongside its responses and requires owner approval before carrying out changes.

“Campground owners have watched a lot of AI promises come and go, so we built CampAI to answer from their park and nothing else,” said Ravi Parikh, CEO and founder of RoverPass. “The owner stays in control of anything that changes. The software sets up the work, shows exactly what will happen, and waits for a person to approve it.”

Both tools follow the permission settings established by campground operators within the RoverPass platform. They also exclude payment card numbers from conversations and cannot delete records.

“AI Assist and the AI Chatbot are the parts owners can put to work today, and that was the point of starting here,” said Angie Tuarez, product leader at RoverPass. “One handles the guest questions that arrive at midnight, and the other turns a pile of reservation data into a plain answer. Owners see the table behind every response, so they are never asked to trust a number they cannot check.”

Planned additions to CampAI include AI Revenue Management, which will provide nightly rate recommendations; AI Books for bookkeeping within CampBooks; AI Marketing within CampCite; AI Call Notes for phone follow-ups; and AI Voice to answer calls that front desk staff cannot reach.

RoverPass will demonstrate CampAI at Booth 539 during the Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo, scheduled for Nov. 9-11 at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas. Demonstrations will feature the AI Chatbot and AI Assist.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, RoverPass provides reservation and property management software for campgrounds and RV parks across the United States.
