The OHI Foundation has awarded scholarships to outdoor hospitality professionals to attend the George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality, an in-person program scheduled for Feb. 21-26, 2027, at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia.
The scholarships are intended to support professional development within the outdoor hospitality industry and will provide recipients with access to training focused on operating RV parks, campgrounds and glamping businesses.
The 2027 scholarship recipients represent outdoor hospitality businesses and organizations across the United States, including campgrounds, RV parks, resorts, hospitality companies and other industry-related businesses.
Several recipients are associated with the same organizations, including CRR Hospitality, Montebello Camping & Fishing Resort, Greensport RV Park and Campground, and Green River KOA Journey.
The George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality is designed to provide owners and operators with training in business management, marketing, employee leadership, risk management and finance.
The program also includes courses supporting the Outdoor Hospitality Manager and Outdoor Hospitality Professional designations.
The six-day program will be held in person at Oglebay Resort, with instruction focused on the operational and management skills needed to run outdoor hospitality businesses.
The scholarships are made possible through support from members, colleagues and others within the outdoor hospitality community. The foundation said the program is intended to help scholarship recipients pursue professional growth and develop skills applicable to their roles in the industry.
Recipients include professionals from properties in Colorado, Virginia, Texas, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Ohio, Massachusetts, Michigan, Alabama, New York, South Dakota, Utah, South Carolina and other states.
The scholarship class includes representatives from a range of campground and outdoor hospitality operations, including KOA Journey locations, Jellystone Park properties, camping resorts, RV resorts, cabins and campsites, and marina operations.
Registration for the George O’Leary National School of Outdoor Hospitality is open. The program is available to outdoor hospitality owners and operators seeking training in business operations and industry-specific management practices.
