RV Industry Association Releases Standards Seminar Materials, Sets June 23 Compliance Q&A

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) has made materials from its May 21 standards seminar available to members and announced a virtual question-and-answer session later this month as the industry prepares for upcoming code enforcement deadlines.

The seminar, held at the Lerner Theatre on May 21, drew more than 70 attendees and focused on changes to several standards affecting the recreational vehicle industry.

Topics included updates to the 2026 NFPA 1192, 2026 NEC 70, 2025 Standard for DC Voltage Systems in Recreational Vehicles, 2025 ANSI 119.5 and 2023 CSA Z240.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on June 2, a PDF version of the seminar slideshow is now available, along with a compilation of questions and answers generated during the event.

The seminar provided attendees an opportunity to seek clarification on the standards changes and their implementation.

The association also introduced a new Excel-based cross-reference tool designed to help users navigate section renumbering resulting from the reorganization of NFPA 1192 and the Standard for DC Voltage Systems.

The tool allows users to enter either a 2021 or 2026 NFPA 1192 section number and identify the corresponding section in the other version. A separate section of the spreadsheet addresses the Standard for DC Voltage Systems.

The release of the materials comes as the RVIA prepares to host a virtual Q&A session on June 23, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time.

The session is intended for individuals who were unable to attend the May seminar or who have additional questions regarding the standards revisions.

The event will provide participants with an opportunity to seek clarification on the updated requirements and related compliance issues.

Participation in the June 23 webinar is limited to RVIA members.
