To some, RVing is a free-flowing kind of travel where they can be carefree and see where the road takes them. For others, RVing takes a lot of planning and preparation. Whether belonging to the former or the latter, everyone appreciates knowing a new tip.
In this video, Jared shares his favorite RV tip for better RVing experiences.
The 3-3-3- Rule, he said, helps slow down the pace of things and increases the enjoyment of RVing.
The first rule is to arrive at the destination by 3:00 PM. Doing this provides a “buffer” within one’s day to be able to find solutions to problems should they arise. It also helps travelers adjust to the weather.
Also, “when you can show up at a location in the day light, it’s gonna be easier to set up,” he said. Moreover, if going to an RV park, 3:00 PM is the ideal time to check in, while those boondocking can benefit from the tip as it will help them find a spot easier.
Another is to drive no more than 300 miles in a day. Every RVer is different. The journey is what makes the trip worthwhile for some, so they opt to travel for longer miles. For Jared and his family, however, traveling short distances helps keep them less fatigued upon arriving at their destination, giving more time and energy to explore the area.
Lastly, when RVing, Jared stays at his destination for at least three nights.
