Cleanliness need not eat up a chunk of one’s time. In this video, Endless RVing shows simple RV hacks on how they wash their RVs into a spotless rig in just under an hour.
Having a clean RV is extremely important, as per Izzy and MJ of Endless RVing. Not only will a spotless RV look better, but it can also help paint last longer.
In addition, it is the perfect opportunity to inspect one’s RV for flaws.
The option to pay for an RV cleaning service offers the convenience of saving time and energy than washing the motorhome on one’s own. However, those who prefer to DIY washing their vehicle can save more money in exchange for the time and effort needed to complete the task.
When washing an RV, the tools and resources needed are: a water source, buckets, RV bodywash, wax, lambswool wash pad, bugs off pad, brush, foam canons, as well as an optional Deionized water system and pressure washer.
The first step is to wash off any dirt on the RV. For a truly spotless finish, Izzy said that the DI water system helps a lot in preventing water marks from appearing. This means that it is possible to dry the RV in the sunlight without the risk of spots showing.
Also, equipping the pressure washer with the right kind of fitting will help disperse liquid better without damaging the paint. In addition, using a pressure washer helps make cleaning become more efficient.
The RVers also emphasized the importance of working in sections. While the DI water system will help avoid water marks, dried up soap can leave spots. The best way to avoid this is to work on a small portion of the vehicle first before moving on to the next.
