The 2025 NFL Draft is bringing a unique camping experience to Brown County, Wisconsin, with campgrounds filling up rapidly. Brown County Parks opened campgrounds, offering over 250 sites to both residents and non-residents.
Reservations for RV enthusiasts began on Tuesday, September 24, at 9 a.m., with specific rules and requirements applying to those planning to camp during the NFL Draft.
The NFL Draft campsite availability, rules, and pricing will be in effect from April 18-30, 2025, with a mandatory three-night minimum stay. Campsites are priced at $100 per night, not including taxes and convenience fees. Full payment is required at booking, and reservations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Response to the camping opportunity has been significant. Parks Director Matt Kriese reported that the Reforestation Camp was already about 75% booked (as of September 24). The Brown County Fairgrounds has seen similar enthusiasm, with approximately 50% of its sites reserved.
Larger sites with higher electrical capacity at the fairgrounds have been fully booked, while sites ranging from 30-40 feet in length are still available.
According to an article published by WTAQ, Nick Meisner, Discover Green Bay’s vice president of digital marketing and communications, emphasized the unique nature of this camping opportunity, stating, “The organizers of the event really want to make sure that the draft is unique to the destination. And what’s more unique to a Wisconsin destination than camping?
Parks officials also recommend filling propane tanks before arrival for use as the primary heat source and filling fresh water holding tanks, as water may not be available at individual sites due to potential freezing temperatures. Showers and restrooms will be available.
The Reforestation Camp offers a wide range of outdoor activities year-round. In the warmer months, visitors enjoy picnicking and fishing by the camp’s ponds, while hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders explore the scenic trails.
During winter, the camp transforms into a destination for cross-country skiing, fat tire biking, and snowmobiling, with groomed trails catering to each activity.
