Washington School Counselor Association Hosts Conference, Promoting Skilled Trades in RV industry

The Washington School Counselor Association recently held its annual Rebuild conference in Seattle, bringing together over 800 school counselors and 30+ exhibitors, including the RV Technical Institute (RVTI).

The Institute’s Director of Education, Tracy Anglemeyer, spoke to attendees about the RV industry, the need for service technicians, and the demand for skilled trades across the country.

As the RV industry continues to grow, the need for skilled technicians becomes more pressing, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.

The RVTI is at the forefront of addressing this need by recruiting more people into the RV technician field, including recent high school graduates who are interested in the skilled trades.

By attending symposium events like the Rebuild conference, the Institute is able to directly connect with high school counselors and provide them with information on the career opportunities available in the skilled trades, specifically in the RV industry.

“Our goal is that this information then makes it back to interested students,” said Anglemeyer. We were eager to attend and help sponsor the Washington School Counselor Association, and we’re excited to continue closing the RV technician gap.

The RV industry is a crucial part of the American economy, generating billions of dollars in revenue and providing thousands of jobs. However, as the industry continues to grow, the demand for skilled technicians grows as well. This has led to a shortage of trained workers, leaving many job openings unfilled.

The RVTI is working to address this gap by offering a comprehensive training curriculum that covers all aspects of RV maintenance and repair. The Institute’s program is recognized as the gold standard in the industry, and graduates are highly sought after by employers across the country.

By attending events like the Rebuild conference, the Institute is able to raise awareness of the RV industry and the opportunities it offers for young people looking to enter the skilled trades.

The Institute’s presence at the conference also highlights the importance of investing in vocational education and training programs that can prepare students for careers in high-demand fields like the RV industry.
