The upcoming RVDA Convention/Expo will feature Sara Jeckovich, a peacebuilder consultant from Pollack Peacebuilding Systems, who will lead workshops aimed at helping dealership professionals de-escalate situations and foster a peaceful work environment.
Jeckovich’s sessions are also designed to equip attendees with the skills necessary for “peaceful leadership” and employee retention.
Scheduled for November 12 to November 14, Jeckovich will present two educational workshops and a half-day course. The first workshop, “Peaceful Leaders & Retaining Employees,” will be held on November 12 at 1:15 p.m. and repeated on November 14 at 8 a.m. as part of the fixed operations education track.
Attendees of this workshop will learn to recognize and reduce ‘quiet quitting,’ employ techniques to make team members “feel seen and valued,” and understand the principles of peaceful leadership.
On November 14 at 11:30 a.m., Jeckovich will lead a two-hour session titled “De-Escalation Interactive Workshop: A Deep Dive.” This session aims to provide a communication framework for conflict resolution, teach self-regulation and empathetic response techniques, and increase awareness of escalation triggers. Participants will also learn how to establish positive communication with various stakeholders and develop important de-escalation skills.
For an additional fee, attendees can join the half-day course “Giving Feedback,” sponsored by Gulf Stream Coach, on November 12 at 8:00 a.m. Limited to 50 participants, this session will focus on building trust, improving performance, and promoting a productive workplace.
According to a press release, the session’s learning objectives include establishing clear expectations and peacefully holding individuals accountable, initiating and effectively leading difficult conversations, giving constructive feedback on “troubling behavior or language,” and enhancing rapport and collaboration across individuals and departments.
The RVDA Convention/Expo offers dealership professionals an opportunity to connect with peers, industry leaders, and potential business partners. The event promises insights into the current sales landscape and resources to optimize all dealership departments, including fixed operations.
The event is sponsored by RVDA of the U.S., RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
