Beginning June 19 until August 19, RVers, campers, campground owners, and enthusiasts can nominate their go-to campgrounds in multiple categories under RVshare’s first-ever campground awards called “The Campies.”
The idea for the annual awards was ignited by the company’s commitment to providing the best experience for its renters. In a blog, the company said that winning a “Campie” lets campgrounds showcase their business while giving travelers the leverage to book confidently, assured that their RV camping experience will be worthwhile.
For the inaugural awards, RVshare will highlight the top campgrounds across the United States in 12 categories.
The nominated campgrounds will then be reviewed by a panel of industry experts, influencers, and opinion leaders in the RV, camping, outdoors, and travel industries who will select the winners based on criteria including traveler sentiment, testimonials, and reviews.
Panelists for the 2022 awards include Marc and Julie Bennett of RVLove, Amanda and David Boles of The RollinBoles, travel writer Lauren Matison, “The Travel Mom” Emily Kaufman, and more.
After the panelists have made their selections, the 2022 Campies Award winners will be announced on September 20.
The recognition doesn’t stop there. To help the winners flaunt their achievements, RVshare will provide them with RVshare recognition on their blog and social channels; a badge to host on their website, advertisements, social channels, and media kits; and a promotion kit and swag.
Categories for the awards include the best luxury RV resort, best pet-friendly campground, best wifi, and remote-friendly experience, best views, best boondocking experience, best family-friendly campground, best waterfront campground, and best on-site amenities. Other categories are best national park campground, best college RV tailgate experience, best motor speedway RV tailgate experience, and best festival RV experience.
