RVIA to Hold Fifth Annual Volunteer Day at Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds

The RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) Sustainability Committee will host its fifth annual All-Industry Volunteer Day on May 20 at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds, bringing together volunteers from across the recreational vehicle industry to complete restoration and enhancement projects at the site’s recreation and campground facilities.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday at the fairgrounds in Elkhart County and will involve participants from multiple sectors of the RV industry.

According to the association, volunteers will work on projects intended to improve campground and recreational areas at the property.

The announcement said volunteers may participate for the full day or select individual work shifts. The association outlined four participation windows, including an all-day option from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time, along with three separate shifts running from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The majority of project work will take place during the first two shifts, while the final shift will focus on finishing work and cleanup activities.

Additional information, including meetup instructions and project group assignments, will be provided to registered volunteers after organizers finalize volunteer totals and determine work group allocations, according to the association.

Companies that pledged support for the volunteer effort include Forest River, Lippert, Patrick Industries, UFP Factory Built, Keystone, Dave Carter & Associates, Ranger Distribution, Genesis Products, GE Appliances Recreational Living, Sigma Switches Plus Inc., Decron, Kabri Products, Lionshead Specialty Tire & Wheel, Sharpline Converting Inc., Valley Screen, LaVanture, Atlantic Forest Products, Duo Form, Airxcel, and Dometic Corporation.

The volunteer initiative is part of the RVIA Sustainability Committee’s ongoing industry-wide community engagement efforts.
