RoverPass CEO and founder Ravi Parikh led an educational session on how RV travelers search, compare, and book campgrounds during the Florida-Alabama Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo, held April 28 through May 1 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida.
The session, titled “Winning the Digital Guest: Understanding How Today’s RVers Search, Compare, and Book,” focused on the evolving digital behavior of travelers and its implications for campground operators.
The 45-minute presentation took place April 30 and drew attendees seeking insight into improving booking performance and online visibility.
Parikh outlined the modern booking journey, emphasizing that travelers often move across multiple platforms before confirming a reservation.
He detailed how online travel agencies influence campground discovery and discussed operational strategies aimed at increasing direct bookings, including listing optimization, rate parity, and post-stay guest engagement.
“The path a guest takes from interest to confirmed reservation is rarely linear,” said Ravi Parikh, CEO and founder of RoverPass. “Once operators understand that journey, they can make better decisions about where to invest, how to position their park, and how to convert more of the demand they are already attracting.”
RoverPass also participated in the expo as an exhibitor at Booth 79, where company representatives met with campground owners and operators evaluating technology solutions for the 2026 season.
Discussions centered on reservation workflows, pricing strategies, guest communication tools, and software integrations designed to reduce manual tasks.
“Events like this are where we learn the most about what owners actually need,” said Melisa Chang, marketing director at RoverPass. “Our conversations at Booth 79 were direct and detailed. Operators told us what is working in their parks, where they still feel friction, and what they want to see from their software partner.”
Across the four-day event, recurring themes included demand for streamlined technology, continued focus on direct booking strategies, and interest in improved reporting and benchmarking tools.
The Florida-Alabama Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo brought together campground operators, suppliers, and industry stakeholders from across the Southeast, combining educational sessions with networking and product demonstrations.
