These updates include the introduction of Autopilot Remix and an expanded waypoint customization feature. Autopilot Remix enables travelers to refine their trip recommendations with a “try again” option, offering fresh suggestions tailored to individual preferences. This feature addresses feedback from users who value flexibility in itinerary planning, providing an adaptable tool for discovering destinations and stops.
“Planning a road trip should be as enjoyable as the journey itself,” Josh Knepfle, chief technology officer at Roadtrippers, said in a press release. “[Autopilot Remix] takes the guesswork out of planning while giving users the freedom to refine their itineraries until it feels just right.”
The waypoint feature also allows travelers to incorporate curated stops into Autopilot-generated routes, expanding customization options. Currently available on the web, with mobile compatibility for iOS and Android in development, the feature leverages Roadtrippers’ extensive database of over 7 million points of interest. Users can search by location or answer a series of questions to receive personalized suggestions, streamlining the process of enhancing their trips.
