The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable(ORR) has announced an upcoming webinar to discuss the introduction of the America’s Outdoor Recreation Act (AORA) in the Senate.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, March 30, at 2 PM EST, will provide a detailed overview of the historic bipartisan legislation to Congressional staff and interested media, emphasizing the significance of the $862 billion outdoor recreation economy.
AORA is a groundbreaking bill aimed at modernizing recreation infrastructure, managing and conserving public lands and waters, and supporting local businesses, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.
The legislation also seeks to mitigate the impacts of ever-increasing visitation on public lands and waters without imposing additional costs on taxpayers. The bill is the culmination of persistent efforts by ORR members, partners, and Congressional staff.
The webinar will feature a panel of industry experts and ORR members who will discuss various aspects of AORA.
Panelists include Chris Perkins, Senior Director of the ORR; Callie Hoyt, Senior Director of Federal Government Relations at the National Marine Manufacturers Association; Scott Schloegel, Senior Vice President of Government Relations at the Motorcycle Industry Council; Maribel Castaneda, Manager at the Confluence of States; and Steven Foy, General Manager of Outpost Operations at the Nantahala Outdoor Center.
The discussion will highlight the importance of AORA and its potential impact on the outdoor recreation industry. To join the webinar, register through this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_nsbZHVX5RuOPafYi4pE83g/.
