The access road to North Twin Lake (Oregon) is slated to undergo road maintenance which will include grading and graveling.
As per a report, to ensure safety and efficiency, the Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District will be shutting down access to the North Twin Lake day-use area and campground during the maintenance project.
The road leading to North Twin Lake will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, and reopen at noon on May 13. North Twin Lake day-use area will not be accessible during the closure.
North Twin Lake Campground will open for the season on May 13.
During the spring and the early summer recreation season, the Forest Service reminds visitors that it’s vital to “Know Before You Go.”
This includes confirming that the destination you want to visit is accessible by checking if travel routes are open and reviewing predicted weather forecasts.
Forest Service roads are not plowed or maintained during winter conditions.
