OHI’s event, the Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo (OHCE), has been honored as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Tradeshows in the country by Trade Show Executive Magazine. This recognition highlights OHCE’s impact and growth within the industry.
OHCE 2023, held in Kansas City, exceeded expectations by setting new records and offering opportunities for industry professionals. The event established its position as a platform for networking, innovation, and professional development.
A notable feature of OHCE 2023 was the Expo, where exhibitors reported collective sales exceeding $50 million. This figure, verified by a third-party research firm, underscores the value generated at the event, benefiting businesses from small, independently owned campgrounds to large corporate parks.
Paul Bambei, president and CEO of OHI, expressed pride in the event’s achievements, noting that they are honored to be recognized alongside leading events as one of the fastest-growing tradeshows.
Bambei mentioned that OHCE has always served as a catalyst for innovation in their industry, and OHCE 2023 continued that tradition while setting impressive records along the way.
In addition to record-breaking sales, OHCE 2023 featured the largest exhibitors in its history, with over 175 companies showcasing their products and services. This included more than 30 park models and glamping accommodations, drawing nearly 1,300 attendees representing over 1,600 businesses.
David Basler, chief strategy officer for OHI, highlighted the importance of innovation for future events.
“We are always looking to improve upon the previous year and introduce new content, speakers, and fun at OHCE. Attendees this year are going to experience an OHCE like no other,” he said.
Basler mentioned that while some approach events with an “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mentality, OHI prefers to always be improving, reimagining, and surprising attendees with unique experiences.
OHI is also gearing up for the upcoming OHCE 2024 in Oklahoma City.
