The OHI Leadership and Elections Workgroup announced the opening of nominations for the OHI Board of Directors. OHI is seeking a diverse board with members who can bring a variety of skill sets to further the organization’s mission and strategic plan.
The OHI Board of Directors provides strategic oversight. Comprised of 20 members elected at-large by OHI voting members, the board plays a vital role in shaping the industry’s future.
Candidates and those nominating peers must submit the completed nomination form by June 15 to be considered for election, according to an article published by OHI.
Paul Bambei, CEO and president of OHI, emphasized the dedication and impact of the board members, noting that the board is composed of top professionals from various industry backgrounds who work tirelessly to ensure the industry’s continued success.
“It’s not a role taken lightly, and it’s why our board is so influential and successful. They make a direct impact through OHI’s mission and vision every single day. We look forward to seeing applications from the next generation ready to make an impact in this industry,” Bambei explained.
According to its website, if the nomination form is accepted, the OHI Leadership and Elections Workgroup will contact the nominee by July 25 to confirm their status on the ballot. Electronic voting by OHI voting members will take place from September 3 to October 7. Nominees successfully elected to the OHI board will be notified of their election during the week of October 7.
After being elected, members will attend the annual meeting at the Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo, where they will be sworn in as new members of the OHI board and participate in a new board member orientation.
