OHI has announced the appointment of Maris Brennan as its new senior manager of member experience. Brennan, with extensive experience in membership relations, will focus on enhancing member engagement and supporting the organization’s growth and retention initiatives.
Her role will involve building relationships with non-member campgrounds across the country, while also ensuring that existing members continue to benefit from OHI’s diverse resources.
In her new position, Brennan aims to strengthen OHI’s mission by creating valuable connections between the organization and campgrounds nationwide. Her primary focus will be showcasing the benefits of membership to new and existing members, ensuring they receive the support needed to thrive in the outdoor hospitality industry.
“My motto with members is, ‘I’m only a phone call away, and if I can’t help, I’ll find someone who can,” Brennan explained. I’m fortunate to spend my days showcasing the fantastic and diverse portfolio of OHI member benefits to RV park [and] campgrounds nationwide, helping them thrive in their local communities.”
Beyond her work in member relations, Brennan will also play a crucial role in organizing OHI’s flagship event, the Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE). She will work closely with OHI’s team to tailor the conference’s offerings to meet members’ needs.
Brennan hopes to enhance professional development opportunities and create valuable networking experiences by gathering feedback from members. Her efforts aim to foster community and ensure the conference remains relevant to industry professionals.
Brennan’s experience in the camping and outdoor hospitality industry is extensive. Prior to joining OHI, she served as the director of membership for the Michigan Manufactured Housing, RV, and Camping Association. In that role, she managed membership relations for a diverse range of stakeholders, including campground owners, manufacturers, and dealers. Brennan also organized high-profile events like the Detroit RV and Camping Shows.
Her background as a small business owner also equips Brennan with insights into the challenges faced by RV parks and campgrounds. Having operated three successful franchise fitness centers, she understands the importance of fostering “meaningful customer relationships” and helping clients achieve their goals.
