Outdoor enthusiasts and hospitality seekers are gearing up for The Big East Camping & Outdoor Sports Show, presented by AmeriCU Credit Union, which will take place from Friday, March 10 through Sunday, March 12 at the Event Center of Turning Stone Resort Casino, New York.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the popular show, which promises to offer something for everyone who loves camping, fishing, boating, hiking, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. The show will run from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
One of the main attractions of the show is the Beast of the East Archery tournament, which is returning for its fourth year. Participants can look forward to a minimum cash payout of $500, as well as custom trophies.
The Big East Gear Grab Giveaway will also be back, giving away a prize every hour, while the fish pond and kids’ casting contest on Saturday will keep the younger visitors entertained.
For those looking to explore more adventurous activities, multiple boating and RV dealers will be present at the show. Other vendors will include hunting and fishing guides, leather goods, campgrounds, sporting organizations, outdoor gear, fishing charters, and specialty food products.
In addition to the exhibitors, free seminars on various topics related to outdoor activities will be offered throughout the weekend. Guests can also enjoy ax throwing by Woodchuckers Axe Throwing and a goat petting zoo by Spring Creek Lavender.
Visitors to the show can enjoy all of these activities and more for a nominal admission fee, with prices set at $9 for adults, $7 for seniors aged 55 and over, military and first responders, $3 for children aged 6-12, and free admission for children aged 5 and younger.
