Naturluxe & Stars Revs up for Watkins Glen Grand Prix Vintage Car Festival

Naturluxe & Stars, a luxury outdoor resort in Watkins Glen, New York, is pumping up its engines to celebrate the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Vintage Car Festival next month. In line with the festival, the glamping resort is hosting its first-ever Naturluxe & Cars event.

On September 9, the glamping resort is debuting its inaugural Naturluxe & Cars event, where auto lovers can visit the park to check out its glamorous camping tents and even get a chance to win a stay at the glamping resort.

“Naturluxe & Stars, a glamping resort, is thrilled to announce our first annual ‘Naturluxe & Cars’ event in celebration of the Watkins Glen Grand Prix, started in 1948,” Owner and Founder Dawn Aprile said.

Sharing the event’s history, Aprile said that a young man from Youngstown, Ohio, who spent summer months with his family in Watkins Glen, New York, wanted to bring a European-style sports car road course race to the area.

Fast-forward to today, people from all over the world flock to this area of New York to participate in the three-day event. 

“Naturluxe & Stars shares a similar pursuit of a grand vision…to reach for the stars, and welcome guests from all walks of life to connect with nature in comfort and convenience,” she said.

Admired by car enthusiasts, Naturluxe & Stars is conveniently situated next to the Watkins Glen International Racetrack.

For almost three decades now, the village festival has given a toast to the town’s motor racing culture through a series of activities. Every year, over 600 classic sports cars are parked along the main streets of Watkins Glen. There is also live music to keep the crowd entertained as well as various food options, vendors, wine tasting, and family activities.

According to the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival’s website, about 25,000 people flocked the streets of the village last year. Next month, visitors get to enjoy the Grand Prix Festival scheduled for September 9, and the Watkins Glen International Racetrack races on September 10 and 11.

As car enthusiasts from both near and far visit the area, a fabulous respite awaits at Naturluxe & Stars. Aprile is opening the doors of the outdoor resort to introduce people to glamping through “Naturluxe & Cars.”

“[W]e’re excited about building on that every year and having more and more offerings,” she told Modern Campground. “[R]ight now, it’s introducing people to what glamping is and what our tents look like and […] what it feels like to walk through the woods and have your heart rate lowered and just go away,” she added.

Naturluxe & Stars is a 48-acre luxury outdoor resort getaway in New York that offers 24 fully furnished glamping accommodations. Built to connect people with nature in comfort, guests can stay in a safari tent, bell tent, or platform tent.

Camping has never been more luxurious with amenities such as a bathhouse with seven modern private bathrooms and a communal tent with comfortable seating where glampers can relax, play games, and enjoy each other’s company. There are also campfires that keep everyone warm during the evening.

Surrounding the area are unforgettable experiences such as hiking at Watkins Glen State Park where visitors can explore its 19 waterfalls, boating and fishing on Seneca Lake, stopping by wineries at Finger Lakes, and more.
