Outdoor hospitality industry professionals Christine Taylor and Cathy Reinard are proud to announce their latest venture—the purchase of Nickerson Park Campground in Gilboa, New York.
The mother and daughter duo have a wealth of experience in the outdoor hospitality industry, having previously owned multiple campgrounds.
Reinard is a licensed real estate associate broker with Danielle Windus Cook and a realtor for the Own a KOA program, while Taylor is a partner at the Towne Law Firm, specializing in hospitality law.
The campground has been renamed Nickerson Catskill Mountain Campground LLC and will continue to be a family-owned establishment, as it has been since the 1960s.
The campground boasts a beautiful 362-site property on Schoharie Creek, with an already impressive reputation and operations. The extremely talented manager, Rosemary Celelli, has agreed to continue managing the park and working with the new owners on operational decisions.
The new owners are excited to introduce current and new campers to their style of camping fun, promising the same level of cleanliness, service, and fun that they have provided in the past.
“With decades of campground ownership experience, we’re excited to once again own a campground in New York. Those who have camped with us before can expect the same level of cleanliness, service, and fun,” Taylor told Modern Campground in an email.
“Those who are new to the Reinards but not to Nickersons will find out how we like to take something that’s great and add to it!” she added.
They plan to enhance the already great experience by implementing new upgrades such as Conestoga modular bathhouses, a brand new GB Wi-Fi system throughout the entire park, and Berg Pedal Karts to be available this 2023 season.
Nickerson Catskill Mountain Campground is looking forward to welcoming campers this season. The new owners are thrilled to make memories with their guests and continue to build upon the already great reputation of Nickerson Park Campground.
