Micro-Air Expands Manufacturing Capabilities in New Jersey

In a significant development for the electronics manufacturing industry, Micro-Air, a subsidiary of Innovative Motion Technologies (IMT), has announced the expansion of its manufacturing and fulfillment capabilities with the acquisition of a new 20,000 sq ft facility in Hamilton, NJ. 

This strategic move is set to enhance the company’s capacity to meet the growing demands of its distribution partners, dealers, and direct-to-consumer customer base.

The new facility represents a major step in Micro-Air’s commitment to scaling up its business systems. Operations Director Russ Buzinski emphasized the importance of this expansion, stating, “Maintaining the highest level of manufacturing quality and efficiency has always been our focus. This expansion will position us to scale the business to meet the demand of our current and future growth.”

Founded in 1983, Micro-Air has established itself as a leader in the design and manufacture of temperature control systems, primarily serving the Home, RV, and Marine industries. The company’s acquisition by IMT in 2021 and its majority ownership by Cathay Capital, according to a press release.

Andy Spaziani, founder of Micro-Air and an IMT board member, highlighted the new facility’s role in the company’s long-term strategy. With more than 35 years of electronics manufacturing and inventive product development, it’s the next step of our long-term plans to solidify our standing as a leader in the RV, Marine, and Residential HVAC markets,” he said.

Innovative Motion Technologies (IMT), Micro-Air’s parent company, is a global industrial technology platform known for its diverse range of interface and controls solutions. These solutions cater to various markets, including motion furniture, marine, industrial, healthcare, HVAC, RV, bedding, hospitality, and retail.

Cathay Capital, as reported by Micro-Air, has been instrumental in supporting the company’s vision for growth and international expansion. Founded in 2007, Cathay Capital manages more than $5.5 billion in assets and has made over 280 investments in sectors such as healthcare, technology, and consumer.

Micro-Air’s philosophy of treating customers and employees like family has been central to its success. This customer-centric approach, combined with a strong focus on product innovation, has enabled the company to maintain a leading position in its industry.
