RV Dealers Association (RVDA) convention and expo committee is currently inviting workshop proposals for the upcoming 2024 RV Dealers Convention and Expo, according to a press release. Interested parties are encouraged to consult the request for proposal document available on the convention’s website, which outlines this year’s topics.
This event is scheduled to take place from November 11 to 15 in Paris Las Vegas, with the workshops being held from Tuesday, November 12, through Friday, November 15. The convention is sponsored by RVDA, RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
The 2024 RV Dealers Convention/Expo is recognized as a networking and educational gathering for RV dealers and dealership professionals across North America. It aims to offer a series of 45 and 60-minute concurrent workshops that are non-promotional and organized into specific tracks.
These tracks are designed to cater to dealership principals, general managers, and top performers in various departments such as parts, service, finance and insurance (F&I), sales, digital marketing, and business development centers.
The workshops will cover a wide range of in-demand topics. For dealer and GM tracks, subjects include talent management strategies for retaining top employees, successful management structures for multi-location dealerships, effective inter-departmental communication and collaboration, and practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) for RV dealers.
The legislation and compliance track will address marketing and advertising compliance, labor laws, dealer data, and digital issues, including online consumer orders, safeguards rules, state privacy laws, OEM data sharing principles, and ransomware.
In the fixed operations track, discussions will focus on strategies and tactics employed by top-performing service departments to improve repair event cycle time (RECT), best practices for elevating service quality, management strategies for expanding service facilities and capacity, and innovative training practices for talent retention. The parts & accessories segment will explore competitive strategies against Internet-based companies.
The digital marketing, business development center, and social media track will delve into working with social media influencers, content marketing essentials, and reputation management. Meanwhile, the business innovation track, relevant to sales & F&I personnel, will cover closing sales with well-informed customers, creating competitive advantages for dealerships, building customer relationships, and integrating sales with F&I processes seamlessly.
Submissions are welcomed from training professionals, consultants, dealership professionals, vendors, and others who support the RV industry, emphasizing practical, in-the-trenches expertise.
