Mystery Dinners and Glow-in-the-Dark Wagon Rides Among 2023 Activities at Jellystone Parks

Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts has introduced new activities and themed weekends for the 2023 camping season.

The franchise locations owned by Camp Jellystone are famous for offering a wide range of family-oriented activities, and this year’s additions are sure to delight guests of all ages.

Among the new activities introduced at Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts this year are mystery dinners, glow-in-the-dark wagon rides, slime making, color runs, and much more. These activities have been added to existing popular offerings like pools, water slides, and other outdoor recreation.

Trent Hershenson, the vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, said, “Our franchisees never stop coming up with new activities and new themed weekends to entertain their guests.”

Each Jellystone Park franchise location has its own unique selection of themed weekends and activities. For example, the Asheboro, North Carolina location will host a Super Sleuth Week (July 2-9) with puzzles and clue games throughout the week, culminating in a three-course mystery dinner where guests will work together to solve a mystery.

Still in North Carolina, the Tabor City location will host a “Happy Vintage Camper” weekend (April 21-23) with a car show, a vintage camper open house, a sock hop, and awards. New themed weekends include a “Huddle Up Weekend” (November 3-5), with a football-themed campsite decorating contest, football games, and other opportunities for guests to show off their team’s colors.

The Binghamton, New York location will host a Halloween-themed Mad Science weekend (September 29-October 1) and a Glowtastic Halloween-themed weekend (October 13-15) that will feature glow-in-the-dark wagon rides and other activities that glow.

Meanwhile, the Eureka, Missouri location will have a “Color the Park” weekend (June 23-25) with a color run and fire and hula shows featuring ventriloquist Rusty Pliers and comedian “Oh My Gosh Josh.”

Other franchise locations such as Glen Ellis, New Hampshire, and Millbrook, Illinois, will have new themed weekends such as a “Mess Fest Week,” and a “Walk of Fame Weekend.” Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin will feature a “Junior Ranger and Park Princess Week” (June1-7) where guests will train to catch Yogi Bear, and an “All Bears Bonanza Blowout” week (August 24-30) with activities such as ceramics with Cindy Bear and tie-dye with Boo Boo.

In Grayling, Michigan, the Jellystone Park is ramping up its recreation program with activities every hour on the hour, including ceramics and Colortime, which were not offered at this location before.

Milton, New Hampshire’s new activities include a “Heroes Weekend” (April 28-30) to honor first responders. A local fire company is scheduled to do a demonstration at the park.

The Mt. Gilead, Ohio location has entertainment booked for every weekend this summer, including petting zoos, science shows, DJs, bands, magicians, and comedians.
