A new RV technician training program for women will launch in December 2024 through a partnership between the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA), RV Technical Institute (RVTI), and Campground Owners Expo (COE). The program will provide Level 1 certification training from December 2–6 at the Hilton Branson Convention Center in Missouri.
While the training begins two days before the main COE event (December 4–7), participants will still have opportunities to attend COE seminars and explore the trade show outside training hours. The program will train 15 participants at no cost for the certification itself, though attendees must pay the $200 COE registration fee.
Sessions will run Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The training will equip attendees with skills to prepare an RV for customer delivery by verifying the operation of all major components, enabling campground operators to provide on-site RV repair services.
This not only enhances the guest experience but also opens the door to new revenue opportunities. Upon completing the training, participants will have access to RVTI’s Level 2 training, available online or in person.
“We are thrilled to partner with RVTI and COE to offer this valuable training opportunity to female campground owners and staff,” said RVWA President Susan Carpenter in a press release. “With this training, campground operators will be able to provide RV repair services for their customers, improving the campers’ experience and creating new revenue streams.”
For the $200 COE registration fee, parks can register up to five team members on COE’s website. This structure allows one participant to attend the RV technician training while others explore the COE seminars and trade show floor. Parks may also register additional attendees for $50 per person over the initial five.
“Campgrounds are such an important part of the customer experience, and we believe there is incredible opportunity for campgrounds to take advantage of RV technician training. We appreciate COE allowing us to showcase our training for their attendees,” said RVTI Executive Director Curt Hemmeler.
“We are proud to partner with RVWA and RVTI to offer this valuable training opportunity to our attendees,” stated COE Founder Lori Severson. “This training will help campgrounds improve their operations and provide their guests with a better experience.”
