Discover Hanscom FamCamp, an RV campground located three miles outside of Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Massachusetts.
This year-round family campground is operated by the 66th Force Support Squadron in Bedford, Massachusetts, for military-connected personnel.
With 73 RV sites and 10 tent sites, the campground is surrounded by historic towns such as Lexington, Concord, and Lincoln, and is situated 15 miles west of Boston, guests can take advantage of numerous local attractions and activities during their stay.
On-site amenities at FamCamp include 50/30/20 amp services, an outdoor pavilion, a recreation room, Wi-Fi, picnic areas, on-site propane, coin-operated laundry, two bathhouses, 24-hour management, pet-friendly facilities, dump stations, hiking trails, and rail trails.
Recently, FamCamp employees completed a self-help revitalization effort to improve the recreation room and office space.
“With the recent completion of this project, we have improved the camping experience for those who visit,” said Jenn Hassey, FamCamp manager.
According to Colson, one of the many benefits of staying at the facility is its location.
“Boston is only 18 miles east of Hanscom Air Force Base and offers a lot of activities throughout the year, especially during the summer months,” she said.
