Stony Brook Campground in Hanover unveiled recent renovations to enhance the camping experience under the new ownership of Mike Blais. Blais, who acquired the property ten months ago, has initiated several renovations to enhance the camping experience, focusing on the visitor experience.
A major innovation introduced by Blais is the installation of timers on the campground’s 18 lights, which now turn off the lights every night from 9:00 p.m. to midnight. This move is designed to reduce light pollution and provide campers with unique views of the night sky.
Blais’s inspiration for these nocturnal enhancements stems from his own experiences in Jackman, where the visibility of the stars left a lasting impression on him, and his time hiking the Appalachian Trail, according to a Bethel Citizen report.

Campground owners and operators can draw valuable insights from Mike Blais’s strategic approach to enhancing guest experiences at Stony Brook Campground.
