The Maine Campground Owners Association (MECOA) is set to host the 2024 Trade Show and Annual Meeting on April 5 at the Norway Savings Bank Arena, located at 985 Turner Street, Auburn, Maine.
This event, aligning with the 20th Annual Vacationland RV & Camping Show, marks a significant gathering for the campground and outdoor hospitality industry in the region.
The Trade Show, exclusively for MECOA members, promises a comprehensive day of activities.
It serves as a convergence of ideas and innovations aimed at enhancing the campground and outdoor hospitality sector. The focus is on providing campground owners with the latest trends, tools, and insights necessary for the growth and sustainability of their businesses.
Over 50 member campgrounds are expected to participate in this year’s event, with an attendance projection of 50-70 campground owners.
This gathering offers a unique opportunity for these owners to network, share experiences, and learn from each other, fostering a sense of community and collaboration within the industry.
The day’s agenda is packed with educational seminars and guest speakers, offering valuable learning opportunities for attendees.
These sessions are designed to address the current challenges and opportunities within the campground industry, providing practical solutions and innovative strategies for business growth and customer satisfaction.
A highlight of the event is the Trade Show, meticulously planned to ensure maximum interaction between campground owners and vendors. The uninterrupted time, except for a lunch break, is a strategic move to facilitate meaningful conversations and business dealings, allowing owners to explore various products and services with minimal distractions.
Vendors are encouraged to set up as early as 8 am, ensuring they have ample time to prepare and present their offerings to the attendees.
The event also features a silent auction, an integral part of the day’s activities. Vendors and sponsors are requested to contribute items to the auction, with all proceeds going to the MECOA Scholarship Program. This program, under the Northeast Campground Association, is a testament to the industry’s commitment to education and the development of future leaders in the campground sector.
The silent auction not only serves as a fundraising activity but also as a platform for businesses to demonstrate their support and commitment to the industry’s growth and educational initiatives. It is an opportunity for participants to contribute to a cause that directly impacts the future of the campground and outdoor hospitality industry.
For campground operators, the event is an invaluable opportunity to gain insights, discover new products and services, and build relationships that can lead to long-term business success. It is a chance to stay ahead of industry trends and ensure that campgrounds offer the best possible experience to guests.
