Love’s Travel Stops has opened a new travel stop in Rock Falls, Illinois, while completing renovations at five existing locations in Oklahoma and Kansas as part of its ongoing expansion and modernization efforts.
The new Rock Falls location, situated at 2801 Hoover Road near Interstate 88 and State Route 40, is the company’s 37th travel stop in Illinois.
The facility adds 85 truck parking spaces, contributing to Love’s efforts to increase truck parking capacity nationwide. The company said it has added 1,076 truck parking spaces across the United States so far in 2026.
Located between Love’s Rochelle, Illinois, travel stop and the Iowa state line, the Rock Falls location is intended to serve professional drivers, RV travelers and motorists traveling along Interstate 88 and State Route 40.
The site also includes space designated for future electric vehicle chargers, allowing the company to partner with local utility providers if customer demand supports installation.
The Rock Falls travel stop spans 12,748 square feet and employs 90 people. Amenities include seven diesel bays, four showers, laundry facilities, a CAT Scale, 81 car parking spaces, a dog park, self-checkout options and an RV dump station.
Six RV hookups are scheduled to open soon, while Godfather’s Pizza and Naf-Naf Grill are expected to begin operations on July 27.
To mark the opening, Love’s announced donations of $5,000 each to Sauk Valley Foodbank and Stead Family Children’s Hospital. The company also said its district managers provide annual community grants to eligible nonprofit organizations in their service areas.
In addition to the Illinois expansion, Love’s recently completed renovations at its Southeast Oklahoma City store and four Kansas Turnpike locations in Belle Plaine, El Dorado (Towanda), Cassoday (Matfield Green) and Topeka under its Road Ahead Plan.
Love’s also announced a total of $25,000 in charitable donations tied to the remodels. The contributions include $5,000 to Oklahoma Children’s Health Foundation, $5,000 to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, and $15,000 to Ascension Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas.
