Bloomington Campground Under New Ownership, Expansion Planned

Four Points RV Resorts LLC, a Louisiana-based company, has recently acquired Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Bloomington, Indiana.

While the financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, the new owners have expressed plans for significant expansion at the campground.

Located on the southwestern edge of Lake Monroe, the Jellystone Park spans 65 acres and is approximately 60 miles southwest of Indianapolis.

The park currently features 140 campsites and cabins, two swimming pools, a splashground, and other attractions.

This acquisition marks the fourth Jellystone Park franchise and the first in Indiana for Four Points, a company established in 2020 by Sean Vidrine and Matt Van Der Molen. The company also owns and operates two other RV parks in Mississippi and Pennsylvania.

Four Points has plans to invest in the Bloomington location, including the addition of 85 new RV sites and cabins, an enlarged splash pad, a new boat rental program, expanded food and beverage options, and potentially a zip line and new lookout points over the nearby waterfalls. The expansion is expected to commence next year, although the investment amount remains undisclosed.

The Bloomington Jellystone Park currently employs about 40 people, including seasonal workers.

As part of the expansion, Four Points plans to increase the park’s workforce. A new general manager has also been appointed to replace the previous owners.

The acquisition and planned expansion by Four Points RV Resorts LLC will likely enhance the overall experience for visitors to the Bloomington Jellystone Park.

The addition of new facilities and attractions, as well as an increase in the number of campsites and cabins, will potentially attract more visitors and generate increased revenue for the campground

The expansion will also create more job opportunities in the area. The strategic location of the campground, in proximity to Four Points’ other Midwest properties, suggests potential for further synergies and growth.
