Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Expands Portfolio with Nine New Locations

As the Fourth of July holiday approaches, families across the United States are turning their thoughts toward vacations. With this, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts, a family camping, glamping, and outdoor entertainment brand, has announced the addition of nine new locations to its portfolio.

The new Camp-Resorts, established in the scenic regions of Maine, Michigan, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia, are designed to provide families with an array of outdoor experiences.

By offering attractions such as swimming pools, water slides, various family activities, and personal interactions with the Yogi Bear characters, Jellystone Park is creating unique vacation options beyond the traditional hotel stay.

Every Fourth of July, Jellystone Park hosts festivities at their locations nationwide. These include flag raisings with Yogi Bear, parades featuring decorated golf carts and bicycles, decorating contests for cabins and RVs, fireworks, and thematic arts and crafts projects.

This year, these holiday celebrations are anticipated to be even more appealing, given the surge in RV purchases during the pandemic and the resulting resurgence in road trip vacations.

Rob Schutter, president of Camp Jellystone, highlighted the trend of families discovering camping and glamping as more convenient and affordable travel options. “Taking vacations and creating memories are as important as ever to parents,” he said, noting the newfound appreciation families have for spending quality time outdoors.

The financial advantage of Jellystone Park’s offerings is also notable. The cost for a night’s lodging at the resort, which includes cabins, safari tents, treehouses, vacation homes, and covered wagons, is approximately $180.

According to the travel app Hopper, the average cost of a U.S. hotel room had reached $212 per night as of January. For families with RVs or those interested in a tent site, the cost is even lower, averaging around $60 per night. Most attractions and activities at Jellystone Park are included in the lodging cost, adding further value to the vacation experience.

In recognition of the economic challenges faced by many families, several Jellystone Park locations are also offering a variety of discounts and promotions.

The expansion of Jellystone Park is a testament to the growing appeal of camping, glamping, and outdoor family entertainment. As families seek out unique, affordable, and memory-making vacation options, it’s clear that Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts is well-positioned to meet those demands with its wide range of activities and accommodations.
