The RV Industry Association (RVIA) is giving recognition to this month’s sponsors of the Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar. Their continued support allowed the association to offer the seminar for free to its members.
The sponsors for this month’s seminar are THOR Industries, Winnebago Industries, Forest River Inc., Lippert, Dometic, Dexter, and Dave Carter & Associates, as per the News & Insights report of the RVIA.
Their support for this event presents their dedication to safety and compliance in the RV industry. The sponsorships also allowed the association to expand the programming this year.
For the first time, the Regulatory & Safety Compliance Seminar will include a presentation from Jeremy Hamilton of Transport Canada.
He will present on several topics, including Transport Canada regulatory updates, recalls, and RV labeling in Canada. The seminar will still focus on several NHTSA-related issues but with a broader look at regulatory concerns.
After the keynote presentations, a panel of industry compliance veterans will be present, discussing key safety issues and answering attendee questions.
The panelists are Vehicle Safety & Regulatory Compliance Vice President David Mihalick of THOR Industries, Lindsey Research Services Owner Von Lindsey, Forest River Head of Compliance Mike Becker, Enterprise Product Safety and Compliance Director Kevin Van Bronkhorst of Winnebago Industries, and Nelson Mullins Partner Christie Iannetta.
The panelist discussions will cover various topics, including parts traceability, recall completion rate efforts, researching possible safety issues, external communications, and consent orders.
Following the panel Q&A, the day will end with a presentation by Dale Kardos of Kardos & Associates LLC. Mr. Kardos has been assisting motor vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, and trade associations in addressing North American regulations and legislation concerning motor vehicle safety, fuel economy, and emissions for 27 years.
The event will commence at 8 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the Crystal Ballroom at the Lerner Theatre in downtown Elkhart, Ind., and is scheduled to end at 5 pm. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
All interested parties are invited particularly those that have compliance responsibilities, whether related to safety or environmental regulations and those that wish to learn more about safety and recall processes. Please note that the EPA and CARB-related presentations will not begin until 2 PM.
