Harvest Hosts has acquired the management of Escapees RV Club. Joel Holland, owner and CEO of Harvest Hosts, assured members they can expect a smooth transition, new camping options, and ongoing services.
Holland expressed excitement about the new development, sharing that Escapees RV Club has now joined the Harvest Hosts family. He highlighted the history and significance of Escapees, noting its founding in 1978 by the Peterson/Carr family with an emphasis on community, support, and events for RVers.
“Escapees RV Club has a legacy of unity and support among RVers, which aligns perfectly with our mission. When the opportunity arose to bring Escapees into the Harvest Hosts family, we recognized the chance to unite two fantastic communities and enhance the RV experience for all members,” he added.
According to a press release, Harvest Hosts has acquired the membership and events portion of Escapees RV Club, while Travis and Melanie Carr will continue to manage the mail forwarding services and Escapees RV parks.
Current Harvest Hosts memberships and benefits remain unchanged. Additionally, there are no immediate plans to increase membership fees for either Harvest Hosts or Escapees members due to this acquisition.
Both will continue to operate as separate entities. According to Holland, the commitment remains to continue the events that Escapees members cherish, such as Escapade, Bash, HOPs, Xscapers Convergences, and Hangouts. Efforts will be made to enhance these events with new ideas and opportunities.
Another aspect of the announcement is the continued publication of the Escapees magazine, which will maintain its role as a resource for the RV community. Lifetime memberships with Escapees will also be honored, with no need to purchase a separate Harvest Hosts membership to enjoy the current benefits of an Escapees lifetime membership
Harvest Hosts offers self-contained RVers unlimited overnight stays at over 5,666 small businesses across North America with no camping fees. These locations include farms, wineries, breweries, attractions, and other destinations.
