Nature’s Resort Appoints Jennifer Johnson as General Resort Manager

Nature’s Resort in Homosassa, Florida, announced that Jennifer Johnson assumed the role of general resort manager, marking a leadership transition focused on single-property oversight and operational improvements.

Johnson returned to managing one park after overseeing multiple properties, a move she described as a strategic decision to prioritize hands-on leadership and guest experience at a single destination.

The resort is located near Homosassa’s freshwater springs and wildlife areas and markets itself as an Old Florida-style campground with modern amenities.

The property includes more than 300 full hook-up RV sites, cabins, pontoon and golf cart rentals, a pickleball court, playground, two swimming pools, a splash pad and a dog park.

It also offers marina access with boat slips, a renovated bar, grill and marina, a clubhouse, community gathering spaces and ranger station night security.

The resort features designated “Zen Zones” with landscaped seating areas and provides direct access to local springs and manatee viewing areas.

Since taking on the role, Johnson and her team have completed several capital projects. Improvements include three new roofs, a full interior renovation of the bar, grill and marina and the addition of a new adults-only pool.

Additional cosmetic upgrades are underway across the property, including the development of landscaped “Zen Zones” designed to enhance outdoor gathering and relaxation areas.

“The last couple of months have been amazing,” Johnson said. “Our goal isn’t to change the clientele — it’s to enhance the beauty and spirit of what Nature’s Resort has always been about.”

The resort reported improved guest satisfaction following the leadership transition and renovation work, with returning guests coming back to the property.

Johnson said her long-term objectives include restoring a guest waiting list and increasing repeat visitation.

Planned projects for April and May include repainting all cabins in a tropical color palette and refreshing the main buildings as part of continued property upgrades.
