Camper Inn RV Gala Raises $400K Donation For Care Camps

Campers Inn RV, the country’s biggest family-owned dealership for RVs, has raised more than $400,000 during its most recent Glitter and Gold Gala, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.

This donation will allow more than 200 kids to attend oncology-related summer camps at Care Camps. This national non-profit organization gives children with cancer a chance to enjoy camping.

Campers Inn RV President & CEO Jeff Hirsch said he is incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the Glitter & Gold Gala a huge success.

“This was a vision put into action by my wife, Deby Hirsch, head of Campers Inn RVs charitable initiatives, to further the Care Camps mission with a Holiday Gala. We had people from all over the country donating items for the silent auction and live auction because they wholeheartedly believe in the Care Camps mission like we here at Campers Inn RV do. The organization is doing amazing work, and we are so thankful that we can be a part of it. We hope the more than 200 children who will benefit from this donation will make core memories that last a lifetime,” said Hirsch.

In 2021, Jeff and his partner, Deby Hirsch, launched Campers Inn’s first collaboration with corporate gifting 2021 with Care Camps through an employee match and donation program. The partnership has grown to more significant events such as the Glitter and Gold Gala.

At the auction, participants could bid on anything from vacation packages and tickets to watch Super Bowl LVI, the Kentucky Derby, Taylor Swift box seats, or Super Bowl LVI.

“We are humbled by the generosity of Campers Inn RV and the success of this event,” said Erica Lanter, Care Camps marketing manager. “This donation propels our mission forward and will impact hundreds of children facing cancer as well as their families. It is clear Campers Inn RV is rooted in service with a drive to positively impact those they serve. Care Camps is blessed to have them as a partner.”

Care Camps recently awarded Campers Inn RV the corporate 2022 We Care Award. This award is presented to businesses that do more than the non-profit and the families they help.

Care Camps’ Board of Directors chose Campers Inn RV to receive the corporate 2022 We Care Award. This Care Award is based on the magnitude of contributions generated through direct actions, long-term and continuous involvement in fundraising as well as the assistance of the company with the marketing of Care Camps.

The event wouldn’t be possible without sponsors such as Diamond Sponsors, which include Brown and Brown, Bob and Amy Martin, Forest River, Grech RV, Horizon Transport, and Jayco.

Gold Sponsors are Bank of America, Winnebago, and RTM. Silver Sponsors are the National Auto Care, McLane Law Firm, Gulf Stream, AGWS, Bank of the West, US Bank, Jacksonville Icemen, and Chartwell.
