Campground owners and managers from the Mid-Atlantic states can bask in the sun next month as they attend the 31st Annual Mid-Atlantic States Campground Conference and Trade Show (MAC).
The annual event will be held from February 28 to March 2 at the DoubleTree by Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando, Florida.
“The planning committee enjoyed the being in Florida so much in 2021 that they selected to return. The main reason was the nice weather and the ability to move outside for socializing and networking,” said New Jersey Campground Owners & Outdoor Lodging Association (NJCOA) Executive Director Joann DelVescio in a release. She is also the event’s organizer.
DelVescio said that the annual conference will welcome campground owners and managers from all over the United States to attend the informative and exciting event.
According to the release, the three-day conference will feature nine educational seminars, networking opportunities, and a variety of industry-specific exhibitors at the trade show on Tuesday, March 1.
The schedule has been finalized and the conference committee is thrilled at the line-up of speakers for the 9 educational sessions. DelVescio was excited to secure the HR Lady, Wendy Sellers, as a speaker on Monday afternoon to talk about Attracting & Retaining Employees in 2022.
Sellers is a consultant, advisor, educator, author, and disruptor with over 25 years of experience in HR operations, downsizing, change management, strategy, corporate culture, coaching, supervisor & manager training, and leadership development in all-size businesses in a wide variety of industries.
Other well-known speakers include Hytrophy Disaster Management President & CEO Patrick Hardy, Roar! Internet Marketing CEO Matt Weber, Properties Plus Broker/Owner John Jaszewski, Severson & Associates CEO Lori Severson, The Towne Law Firm Partner Christine Taylor, and Utility Supply Group Electric Product Specialist Heidi Doyle.
David Basler, ARVC’s VP of Membership and Marketing, will give an update on the association.
On the last day, Michael Hannon, Esq. will talk to campground owners and managers about “Sexual Predators & Human Traffickers”. While this topic is unpleasant to discuss it is important for everyone to be educated on predators and traffickers to help end the illicit criminal behavior.
“The MAC Conference and Trade Show is a great option for campgrounds who may not be able to attend the larger conferences. MAC offers an affordable option,” DelVescio pointed out.
As an added bonus, Visit Orlando is offering discounts to attractions, dining and more when you ‘show your badge’ at selected businesses. Learn more here, www.orlandomeeting.com/delegate/nj_campground_owners_conference_22/.
There are plenty of networking and socializing opportunities where attendees can connect during meals and downtime. Tuesday’s Exhibitor Luncheon allows attendees and trade show exhibitors to meet before the trade show. The Annual Banquet will also be held on Tuesday evening.
The MAC Conference and Trade Show gives campground owners a chance to relax before the start of the season.
