Empowering Women in the RV Industry: All-Female Technician Training Courses Kicks Off Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month, the RV Women’s Alliance is launching a series of all-female RV technician training courses in partnership with the RV Technical Institute.

As per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association, the courses will take place in various states across the US, including Texas, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Indiana, and are designed to teach women about propane, electrical, plumbing, appliances, body, generator, and chassis systems.

According to the RV Women’s Alliance President, Susan Carpenter, women have been making significant contributions to the RV industry for a long time, and this program seeks to celebrate and acknowledge those accomplishments while also providing opportunities for women to grow their careers in the industry.

“Another equally important role our organization plays is proving opportunities for women to grow their careers in the RV industry and ensure they have the resources to be successful. And that is exactly what this program with RVTI is all about,” Carpenter added.

For private campground owners or operators, having skilled RV technicians is essential to ensure their guests have an enjoyable and stress-free experience. By sponsoring these all-female technician training classes, companies can support the development of a more diverse and skilled workforce, which could ultimately benefit their businesses.

Tracy Anglemeyer, RV Technical Institute director of Recruitment and RV Women’s Alliance board member, believes that this partnership provides an opportunity to teach women skills, enabling them to succeed and grow in their careers as RV techs.

“The recruitment of more women into the RV technician field is such a huge area of opportunity, and this partnership provides the opportunity to teach skills to these women that will allow them to succeed and grow in this new career as an RV tech,” Anglemeyer said.

The RV Women’s Alliance has committed to providing participants with the necessary resources to succeed. The RV Technical Institute certification they will receive upon completing the course and passing the tests will be invaluable to their career growth.

Private campground owners or operators interested in supporting the additional courses can find more information about sponsorship opportunities by visiting the RV Women’s Alliance website or contacting Managing Director Jessica Rider at [email protected].
