Dan Wolford of Camp Jellystone, a campground franchise system acquired by Sun Outdoors from Leisure Systems Incorporated last year, is bowing out as the company’s franchise operations manager after 15 years of service.
In an email notifying recipients of his absence in the upcoming Annual Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Symposium and Trade Show, Wolford said that his last day in the position will be on November 4.
“Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the show this year. I have decided to pursue another opportunity outside of the camping industry,” Wolford’s email reads.
“It has been a pleasure having the chance to get to know you and explain how wonderful our franchise system is,” he added.
Wolford joined the Camp Jellystone team in 2007. His role, according to Camp Jellystone’s website, includes being the regional representative for 20 parks throughout the system. He also conducts annual assessments to help parks grow their businesses.
Throughout the year, he finds new vendors that can offer great new products to Jellystone Park locations.
The outgoing franchise operations manager also acts as the warehouse manager where he oversees all of the warehouse operations and conducts semi-annual inventory audits and maintains quality control.
After November 4, Camp Jellystone’s point of contact for franchise operations and the upcoming Jellystone Park Symposium and Trade Show will be Chelsey Schreiber.
Modern Campground tried reaching out to Sun Outdoors but has not received any response as of press time. We will update the article once we do.
