Jellystone Park Franchisees Assemble At 2021 LSI Symposium & Trade Show

Conference season is in the air as majority of park owners have wrapped up and closed their campgrounds for the season. Some even may have headed to Symposium 2021 at Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center, an event organized by Leisure Systems Inc. (LSI).

The 2021 version of the annual symposium and trade show was held from November 7 to 10. Franchisees of the Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort gathered at the venue in Covington, Kentucky to unwind and reconnect after a busy season.

Educational sessions, social events, and networking opportunities have been extended to park owners and operators present at the four-day event.

Guest speakers and workshops enriched the knowledge of the attendees while an awards dinner/presentation on Monday followed by a two-day trade show on Tuesday and Wednesday paved the way for participants to socialize with their fellow park owners and operators.

Some vendors present at the tradeshow were SGD Golf LLC, Tent Masters, Strait Web Solutions, AGS Guest Guides, Forest River Inc., Glitzcamp USA, Arihant Waterpark Equipment, Stone Aged Concrete Games Inc., and more.

A new Yogi Bear merchandise collection was also available at the event.

Conferences are a great time to hold meetings with industry members assembled in one place. That’s exactly what the organizers have taken advantage of as a Yogi Advisory Council Meeting and LSI Meeting were held on the very first day. LSI’s CEO and President Rob Schutter also highlighted some industry updates and trends. This year’s keynote speaker was The Savannah Bananas Owner Jesse Cole.

Workshops were held on Tuesday and focused on customer service and staffing. Topics ranged from determining campground valuation and what the next best steps are for ownership, building leadership capabilities, the importance of indoor attractions, dynamic pricing & revenue management, Jellystone Park marketing strategies, and more.

Jellystone Park owners and operators had plenty of networking liberties on Wednesday. The symposium’s last day was for the second day of the trade show that lasted until the afternoon and also lunch on the trade show floor. A farewell social/dinner was held to wrap up the event.

How cool does that sound? The 2021 LSI Symposium & Trade Show for Jellystone Park franchisees was a blast! They covered sustainability practices and marketing strategies, plus fun team-building activities. It must’ve been awesome to connect with other park operators and learn new ways to enhance guest experiences.
