The Great Outdoors RV Organizes Largest Helicopter Easter Egg Drop in Colorado

Over 3,000 kids will gather at The Great Outdoors RV (TGORV) in Greeley, Colorado to participate in a scavenger hunt on April 9. What they have to hunt? Just over 60,000 eggs that will be dropped from a helicopter.

TGORV will be busy for the next two weeks as the NOCO Egg Drop Easter event approaches. The event is set to be a Colorado record for over 60,000 eggs hunted in one location.

The Colorado dealership’s General Manager Matt Brown considers the event another “I am so proud of our team” moment.

“Our team (specifically the marketing team) has really stepped up to create a truly one-of-a-kind event for the kids in our community, and I could not be more proud and excited,” he said in a social media post.

The Great Outdoors RV partnered with Macdonald Heli Tours to make the helicopter egg drop possible. Other partners include Chick-Fil-A, Loveland Barricade, Townsquare Media NOCO, the Colorado Eagles, Roche Constructors, the Greeley Stampede, Scheels, and Picasso and Wine.

The event’s supporters will supply some prizes for special giveaways, including easter baskets, helicopter rides, gift cards, and specialty eggs.

We love serving families at TGORV, and Easter presents a great opportunity to connect with local families that have helped shape and build who we are,” Brown said in a press release. “The last few years have been challenging for so many, and we are excited to see kids getting to be kids on this day. My team has been hard at work on planning a truly memorable event that the kids of our community will talk about for many years to come. We are grateful for the support of every sponsor and wish everyone a blessed Easter.”

Tara Brossman, The Great Outdoors RV’s director of marketing said that the response has been amazing and that selling out tickets within a week “floored us.”

“We’re so excited to be able to create something so many families can enjoy together, and we’re so thankful for the incredible people that have been such an instrumental part in helping us not only bring an idea that started before we ever moved to our new location to life, but to double the number of eggs we originally thought we were going to be able to have. The Easter Bunny is certainly coming to Greeley this year,” she added.

Admission and parking for all attendees are free on April 9 at 9 AM-3 PM, courtesy of The Great Outdoors RV. Participants must present their tickets at the time of check-in at the event.

The 2022 NOCO Egg Drop is open to children ages 2-16 and currently sold out. A sign-up form has been created for those interested in pre-registering for the company’s 2023 Egg Drop at www.nocoeggdrop.com
