As business owners and operators, campground owners have a lot to think about when it comes to growth strategies. Most of the time, the resources that might come in handy come at a price. Fortunately, Campspot, has provided a guide at no cost.
The campground reservation software provider has published Growth Strategies for Your Campground Business, a free e-book containing 12 tips for growing a campground’s revenue.
The guide, which can be downloaded from Campspot’s website, covers a range of topics including establishing a strong foundation, marketing your properties, and driving incremental revenue.
Worksheets are also included in the guide to help owners apply what they’ve learned through the free resource.
One of the tips in the guide includes partnering with the right people.
According to Campspot, if an owner finds that there are aspects of running their campground business that have them holding their breath and hoping for the best, then it might be time to call in the experts.
Campspot shares two park profiles throughout the guide, to cover both big and small developments.
One of the campgrounds the document mentions is RiverWalk RV Park in Jonesville, North Carolina. Under the industry tip, a paragraph talks about how owners Marcia and Jim Neese were able to practice the “find an expert” tip as newbies in the industry.
“We aligned ourselves with the right people from the start, and we kept those relationships over time,” Marcia stated.
The business owners first turned to an accounting firm to help with financial aspects such as bookkeeping, tax planning, and other consultations.
“Find industry experts,” said Marcia, “especially for the things you’re not as good at.”
