Campspot announced a new integration with HubSpot, a customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing platform. This collaboration aims to streamline campground management and enhance marketing efforts.
Email marketing and CRM practices are “fundamental” for building loyalty and driving repeat guest business, Camspot noted in a press release. According to the 2023 North American Camping & Outdoor Hospitality Report, the number of households who camp three or more times annually has grown by 174% since 2014. For Campspot, this growth presents an “opportunity for repeat business among campers”.
The integration between Campspot and HubSpot allows parks to nurture guest relationships. By leveraging HubSpot’s capabilities, campgrounds can communicate directly with past guests, rekindle memories, and drive repeat business. This also enables campgrounds to consolidate guest details, booking information, and communication history.
Targeted marketing is another benefit of this integration. Campgrounds can create targeted email lists and personalized messages based on a wide variety of guest details and information about past stays.
According to the press release, HubSpot offers analytics and reporting tools that allow businesses to make informed decisions. These tools provide deep insights into marketing performance, such as email open rates, click-through rates, and campaign ROI. By leveraging these insights, businesses can optimize their marketing strategies and drive more bookings, Campspot noted.
The integration also “modernizes marketing practices with engaging digital strategies that use powerful guest insights from Campspot in tandem with HubSpot’s vast CRM capabilities”.
Alex Boley, chief product officer at Campspot, stated, “Millennials and Zoomers are making up a larger and larger portion of campers compared to all other generations. Campspot’s integration with HubSpot also ensures that new guest data is automatically sent to HubSpot daily, providing up-to-date guest insights with 65 data fields. This enables campgrounds to have a comprehensive understanding of their guests.
