Camping Tools, a social app for camping enthusiasts, has partnered with the Care Camps Foundation (CCF). As part of this collaboration, Camping Tools will donate $5 to Care Camps for every new annual subscription purchased. This initiative aims to support pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada, improving the lives of children living with cancer and their families.
The donation from each new subscription will also help increase the number of programs available at the 117 pediatric oncology camps affiliated with the Children’s Oncology Camping Association (COCA).
Robert McMillan, founder of Camping Tools, said that partnering with Care Camps Foundation aligns perfectly with their mission to enhance the camping experience and build a supportive community.
“We are proud to support the invaluable work of Care Camps Foundation and help bring joy and healing to children battling cancer,” McMillan said in a press release.
Gwynn Sullivan, executive director of Care Camps Foundation, highlighted the positive impact these camps have on families and expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. “The opportunity for children living with cancer and their families to attend these camps provides lifelong impact. This experience is truly the gift that keeps on giving. We are grateful for Camping Tools and their willingness to help further our mission,” Sullivan said.
In 2024, Care Camps Foundation awarded grants to 117 pediatric oncology camps, allowing them to continue serving children living with cancer. These camps offer hundreds of programs at each location, providing families with support, community, and healing. Attending camp is free for families, ensuring a continuum of care and a network of support.
Camping Tools is a social app that enhances the camping experience. The digital journal app allows users to capture and share their camping memories. Its features enable users to document every moment of their outdoor adventures through photos, videos, and notes.
