Heavenly Mountain Resort focuses on summer operations, including the completion of annual maintenance on its iconic gondola that requires access to several gondola towers within Van Sickle Bi-State Park (California).
This project may cause a short closure of a small part of the park to ensure safety, starting on May 2-5.
The resort is located in Lake Tahoe, positioning them with breathtaking views which guests come to see every summer, according to a report.
Once Heavenly finishes the gondola maintenance, the California Tahoe Conservancy, and Nevada State Parks intend to reopen Van Sickle Bi-State Park for the season with all roads, parking lots, and restrooms fully operational.
Van Sickle Bi-State Park is only a short walk away from the south shore’s popular destinations and accommodations for visitors in the Stateline area. The park is one of the most accessible parks in the Lake Tahoe Basin.
The Conservancy and Nevada State Parks jointly manage the park with park hours from sunrise to sunset and free entrance. Van Sickle offers trails with panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and its surroundings.
