Overland Expo SoCal is scheduled to debut on March 15–16, at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California, offering a premier event for overland adventure enthusiasts.
The event will showcase more than 300 top-tier gear exhibitors and 100 hours of education, live demonstrations, and workshops designed for a range of experience levels.
On-site camping has already sold out, allowing adventurers to share stories and connect with fellow enthusiasts in a community setting.
Over 50 expert instructors will lead sessions covering topics from dispersed camping to advanced camp meal preparation, with programming available throughout the day.
Attendees will also have opportunities to engage with vendors through in-booth classes, giveaways, and live demonstrations, gaining access to exclusive deals and the latest adventure travel gear.
Family-friendly activities are planned, including a Kids Adventure Area featuring a scavenger hunt and driving course, appealing to both seasoned overlanders and newcomers.
Special event programming includes the Oasis Bar and Food Court sponsored by Nokian Tyres, where films will be shown and Q&As with filmmakers and storytellers are scheduled, along with a meet-up for Women Who Wander.
For those interested in van life, The Bivvy will offer insights on setting up solar power and maintaining internet connectivity, while the Backcountry and Culinary Pavilion sponsored by Milestar Tires provides a venue for outdoor cooking demonstrations.
Evening activities include Happy Hour at the Oasis Bar and Food Court sponsored by Nokian Tyres, running from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, and a raffle with adventure gear prizes beginning at 5:30 p.m.
“This may be our first event in Southern California, but we feel right at home in such an active overlanding community,” said Jessica Kirchner, vice president of consumer events for Emerald, owners of Overland Expo.
“Camping is already sold out, and we’re expecting thousands of attendees in addition to more than 300 exhibitors – all of which will help make this event a success,” Kirchner noted.
Tickets are available for Saturday, March 15, or Sunday, March 16 at $20 per person each day, or $40 for the entire weekend, with prices increasing on March 1. Active military, veterans, and retirees may qualify for a 20% discount on any pass purchase.
