Aqua-Hot, an AIRXCEL brand, teamed up with Escapod to provide the Gen1 heating system in Escapod’s TOPO2 Voyager, elevating the comfort levels of off-road camping. The collaboration aims to offer reliable hot water and cabin heat to adventurers, regardless of the terrain or season.
Chris Hudak, founder of Escapod, explained the rationale behind the partnership, noting that the Gen1 system can operate efficiently at altitudes up to 15,000 feet.
“One of the reasons we wanted to partner with Aqua-Hot is that the Gen1 is rated up to 15,000 ft., so our campers can go anywhere in the continental U.S. and have reliable hot water and cabin heat,” Hudak said.
Hudak added that the TOPO2 was designed with quality products to create the most capable trailer in its class, and Aqua-Hot, with its long history in Colorado, was an ideal partner.
Escapod, founded in 2016 by Chris and Jen Hudak, specializes in crafting off-road teardrop trailers. Operating from a 20,000-square-foot facility in Utah, the company is committed to enhancing outdoor experiences by ensuring reliability and quality in every trailer.
Mark Davis, business unit manager for Aqua-Hot, commented on the new partnership, noting that Escapod’s builds are done in Utah, while the Aqua-Hot Gen1 is assembled in Colorado. He emphasized that this collaboration offers a great option for customers looking for quality products from American companies.
Davis added that the Gen1 system exemplifies Aqua-Hot’s legacy as a trusted partner for heating systems, allowing customers to travel comfortably with Escapod’s TOPO2 models.
According to a press release, Aqua-Hot has been manufacturing hydronic heating solutions for RVs since 1984. Part of the Airxcel family, Aqua-Hot’s products are known for their adaptability to diesel, gasoline, or propane fuels.
In addition, Airxcel, the parent company of Aqua-Hot, is a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of RV products. Headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, Airxcel oversees a family of 16 companies operating from 14 facilities across the U.S. and Europe.
