AM Solar, an industry in power technology for recreational vehicles (RVs), unveiled a new partnership with Wesco International. This collaboration underscores the increasing demand for off-grid energy solutions within the recreational vehicle industry, according to a press release.
“Wesco is continuing to strengthen our off-grid offerings with the addition of AM Solar as a supplier. AM Solar offers industry-leading products and services with a level of knowledge in off-grid that is unparalleled,” Chris Wadsworth, vice president and general manager of Global OEM at Wesco, said in the press release.
Since 2002, AM Solar has specialized in high-quality mobile power system installations for RVs, van conversions, Airstream trailers, and tiny homes. The company has developed user-friendly solar kits, which include everything from properly sized cables and lugs to individualized wiring diagrams and free technical support. These kits are the result of extensive research and development efforts, aimed at ensuring ease of use and reliability for end users.
“We are very excited to be working with Wesco, as their channels and resources perfectly complement our abilities and vision for the future of mobile off-grid power,” said Garret Towne, president of AM Solar.
This expansion is poised to make recreational travel more sustainable and accessible, aligning with the growing trend towards off-grid living and travel.
“With Wesco’s national reach and AM Solar’s expertise, together we will set new standards for off-grid power solutions, customer experience, and innovations,” Wadsworth said.
The collaboration is expected to set new standards in off-grid power solutions, customer experience, and innovation within the RV industry. AM Solar’s offerings include a unique roof-mounted solar panel combiner box designed for large mobile applications, solar panel mounting hardware, and a patented transfer switch device that enhances the functionality of single-leg inverters.
“High-level support and product knowledge are rarely associated with wholesale distributor pricing and volume, but AM Solar has found a way. By deliberately re-investing in people and software rather than short-term growth opportunities, AM Solar has been able to leverage more than two decades of experience into a highly efficient machine, staffed by masters of the trade,” Towne added.
